Privacy Policy

Axon Terminal ("the App") is a desktop application developed by Neuralflow. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

• File contents, code, or project data.
• Chat messages or prompts sent to Claude.
• File paths or directory structures.
• Personal information (name, email, location).
• Browsing history or cookies.

2. Anonymous Telemetry (Opt-In Only)

Telemetry is disabled by default. If you opt in via Settings, the App collects:

• Feature usage events (e.g., "session_started", "theme_changed") — no content, only event names.
• Model used (e.g., "claude-sonnet-4-6").
• App version and platform (e.g., "1.0.0", "Win32").
• Anonymous ID — a random UUID generated locally, not linked to any personal identity.

This data is sent to axon.neuralflow.es over HTTPS. You can disable telemetry at any time in Settings.

3. Crash Reports

If the App crashes, a minimal crash report may be sent containing:

• Error message (no user data).
• App version and platform.
• Timestamp.

4. Secrets Vault

API keys you store in the App (e.g., OpenRouter key) are encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM and never transmitted. They are stored in ~/.axon-terminal/secrets.enc on your machine.

5. Third-Party Services

The App connects to:

• Anthropic API — when using Claude Code (governed by Anthropic's privacy policy).
• OpenRouter API — if you configure an OpenRouter model (governed by OpenRouter's privacy policy).
• axon.neuralflow.es — for telemetry (opt-in) and crash reports only.

The App does NOT connect to any advertising or tracking services.

This website uses:

• Umami — anonymous, cookie-free web analytics. It does not collect personal data or track users across sites.

6. Data Storage

All App data is stored locally on your machine, in ~/.axon-terminal/:

• Session history and logs.
• Local screenshots.
• Encrypted secrets (secrets.enc).

No data is stored on our servers except anonymous telemetry events (if opted in).

7. Your Rights

• Opt out of telemetry at any time in Settings.
• Delete all local data by uninstalling the App.
• Request deletion of telemetry data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be noted in the App's release notes.
